Getting Started
To get a free quote, follow the instructions outlined below to measure and sketch your kitchen. Bring the information to us and we will get started right away!
- Make a sketch of the general layout of your kitchen space. It's easiest to start at one corner and work your way around. Be sure to include the locations of doors, windows, plumbing, electrical sockets, vents, etc. and be sure to make a note about any special circumstances that you think are relevant. The drawing does not have to be perfect but try to be as accurate as you can.
- Take a measuring tape and write down the lengths of each wall of your kitchen in inches on your sketch. It is easiest to have another person help you hold the end tight as you do this.
- Measure the dimensions of each door and window. Be sure to include any moldings or casings around them in your measurements. Note the distances between the doors/windows and the ends of the walls. Also for windows, be sure to note the distance between the floor the bottom of the windows.
- Note the locations of your utilities in the same manner as Step 3 above. This includes all plumbing, electrical, gas, ventilation air ducts and any other obstacle in the kitchen.
- Now measure the height of the ceiling. Measure this from several locations along the walls where you want cabinets and note any differences. Measure any soffits, drop downs, or other ceiling features that might interfere with cabinetry.
- Double check your work and make sure you've written all measurements down.
That's it! Bring in your drawing and we'll help you with the rest.
